2016-17 Winter Maintenance

Simon Beaven of Quayside Marine in Lymington has been a great help with Serina’s winter maintenance work over the last few years and for the most part this has followed the lines of others’ experiences on the website.

Serina was built on the same moulds as the UK Bridgend-built boats, but there are a few differences. The biggest is the centre-plate mechanism.

There has been lots published on the http://www.roxane-romilly.co.uk/ site about centre-plate work on UK-built Romillys, but I haven’t seen anything about Dutch-built boats.

As Simon is doing a big job on the centre-plate this winter, I thought that others might be interested to see what’s involved – hence this blog. As this is my first attempt at a blog please don’t expect too much.
